Gary Shunk, LCSW
Psychotherapy and Consultation

How Gary Works

Trust is the core of the work. Over time a therapeutic alliance results from the mutual commitment and effort of both client and therapist.

Therapy proceeds through predictable stages. First, the client teaches the therapist who they are through stories, memories, and symptoms. Next, the therapist begins to guide the client to discover untapped potentials in the uncharted territories of their personality. Finally, the client experiences a lift from confusion and with a new autonomy takes charge of their life changes.
